Your role

We are looking for a Mid-level Network Engineer for our customer in the renewables area, who will be responsible for supporting the connectivity of all customer's OT assets, including the locations where our customer operate and their Datacenter.

Your role also includes:

• responsible for monitoring the connectivity of our OT system landscape day to day to make sure that our Global Data - Backbone is performing smoothly and without interruptions
• react to networking incidents to minimize disruptions, including daily checks
• analysis and elimination of technical incidents via the ticketing system, including documentation
• provide 1st and 2nd-level support for networking incidents
• enable good working relationships and knowledge exchange with other teams within the renewables business
• site onboarding (configuration of Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches for new sites)
• maintenance and configuration of IPSec VPN
• modify firewall rules for Palo Alto firewall, Watchguard, Clavister
• administration of Pulse Secure
• vision diagrams - drawing and modification
• Zabbix monitoring
• change and other configurations of WAN connection in case of ISP site issues

What do we expect?

• certifications within the Networking Industry (CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or similar) with related experience.
• 2+ years of experience supporting networking environments (VPNs, VLANs, Firewalls, Routers, Switches and similar devices)
• ability to troubleshoot medium complexity issues within the networking environment.
• experience to coordinate, troubleshooting and perform root cause analysis.
• ability to work within a team and experience working in an international environment.
• fluent English, German will be an advantage
