Application Administrator and Consultant

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards

1350 € + variable component (junior)

1600 € + variable component (midlevel)

(base salary depends on seniority, experiences and qualification of the candidate)

Your role

Application Administrator and Consultant will be part of the team focusing on application administration and maintenance for internationally recognized customer. Main focus is support throughout the lifecycle of applications and various end user software (Atlassian suite, Microsoft suite etc.). 

You will be a member of a highly specialized Administration Team working for the biggest German energy trading company, in charge of:

• solving user's requests and issues on daily basis
• providing stable service of applications in multi cloud environment
• communicating with vendors, stakeholders and application owners (support on daily basis)
• participating on global maintenances; software upgrades, patches, maintenances, installations, reconfiguration and migration
• supporting various platforms from different vendors
• analyzing and improving current application setup and configuration
• researching, testing and implementing plugins and other integrations
• customization of JIRA projects, Confluence spaces, their standardization and integration across various platforms
• managing Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
• revealing optimization potentials (technical and process-related) and actively drive implementation 

What do we expect?

• you have experience with daily communication with customer  
• you are experienced in End user computing (EUC)
• you have experience with JAVA based application administration
• you are experienced in scripting (e.g.: VBScript)
• you have SQL and/or JQL knowledge
• you are experienced in gathering requirements, investigating potential solutions, advanced troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis
• you have experience with Linux Server administration
• knowledge of multi cloud environments (AWS, Azure), understating of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, DevOps principles (CICD) is an advantage
• experience in setting up and supporting Azure DevOps projects is an advantage
• knowledge of MS Platform (Power Automate, Power Flow) is an advantage
• experience with PowerShell or JavaScript or Python is an advantage
• you speak English fluently, German is an advantage
