Job description, responsibilities and duties

Work with the business, HR COEs and HR Shared Service Center to drive and deliver the country people strategy by leading the HR operations and payroll functions. The HR/Payroll Operations Supervisor will be key in owning and driving all HR operational and payroll processes, making improvements and providing the basis for a successful HR offering and service to our internal stakeholders. You will lead all employee lifecycle operational processes from an employee experience perspective. Create a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, ensuring that core HR and payroll processes are delivered efficiently and consistently. While most tasks are of a routine nature, this position requires independent thinking for analysis of HR/payroll issues and recommendations on how to best resolve them.
Lead, develop and drive the HR operations and payroll team members to deliver the highest standards of support and excellence.
Ensure effective delivery of all transactional processes across the employee lifecycle, including payroll, with accuracy and within agreed timeframes for excellent customer service.
Ensure all payroll inputs including time, salary changes, deductions, compensation updates, bonuses, etc. are processed timely ensuring that employees are paid correctly and on-time.
Be responsible and accountable for HR data integrity, security, quality and consistency to deliver accurate and reliable data.
Ensure employee files are kept up to date and maintained to ensure compliance.
Work collaboratively and in partnership with other managers and HR leadership teams in to ensure transactional services are delivered in a connected and seamless way.
Complete the payroll reconciliations, validating any differences can be justified.
Support team in understanding variances, data errors and processing/payment issues and provide recommended solutions.
Production and management of all payroll documents (i.e. statutory filings, pay slips, etc.).
Provide required reporting for statutory and management purposes.
Follow and comply with all relevant FME policies, HR Compliance guidelines, manuals and SOPs in the version as amended from time to time (“FME Policies”).
Maintain departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Liaise with internal and external auditors to support as required.
Provide updates to the business on upcoming changes to payroll legislation.
Work with key stakeholders and customers to continuously evaluate the HR Operations service, monitoring customer feedback and operational activity to improve the overall service and identify development needs.
Provide support to Line Managers and Employees in order to resolve employee lifecycle administrative and payroll issues / queries.
Track SLA’s and KPIs that support continuous improvement of the service delivered utilizing existing technologies and processes.
Represent payroll operations in various projects and duties as assigned by management.

Personality requirements and skills

Significant relevant / equivalent experience of payroll and HR management
Knowledge of Labor Law (Slovakia and Czech Republic)
Working knowledge of country payroll legislation and statutory requirements
Experience in managing teams in a fast-paced, multi-site/location environment
Experience of working in a complex matrix environment (cross functionally and cross culturally).
Demonstrable ability to foster, and drive a culture of collaboration, partnering, accountability and continuous improvement
Used to working to deadlines in a calm and organized manner, able to deliver under pressure
An excellent communicator, fluent in written and spoken English
