Job description, responsibilities and duties

Do you want to be part of a Global Agile team? Do you enjoy working with Scrum teams and thrive to be the best. We are looking for Lead Scrum Master who will be part of EMEA Agile Comunity of Practice responsible for coaching other Scrum Masters and leading up to 2 Scrum teams.

The Lead Scrum Master responsibilities:

• Conducting scrum of scrums for local scrum teams and participating in EMEA scrum of scrums
• Supporting scrum masters in removing impediments and highlighting any that need further escalation
• Coaching and Mentoring scrum masters on agile practices
• Conducting site scrum guild and tracking actions
• Work closely with agile delivery lead to align processes to EMEA process guidelines
• Scheduling of work across local scrum teams
• Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
• Providing all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example

As a Scrum Master you'll be responsible for:

• Guiding the team and organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers
• Managing sprint ceremonies, planning, stand ups, review and retrospectives
• Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
• Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving.
• Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.

Wage (gross)

3 000 EUR/monthFinal salary depends on candidate's previous experience.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Other knowledge

Scrum (framework) - advanced
Agile methodologies - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

Required Skills/Experience:
• Experience in playing the Lead Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer role for at least one year
• Experience of having managed multiple agile teams in a scaled agile environment
• Exposure/knowledge to one of scaled agile methodologies (SaFe, Nexus, Lean etc.)
• Hands on experience with leading Scrum teams for at least 2 years
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
• Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

Preferred skills:
• Certification as a scrum master
• Certification in SAFe or other frameworks would be an additional advantage
• Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FD
• Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills
