We are looking for an operations and commercial manager.  The position will report directly to the Managing Partner and work closely with him to manager relationships with vendors as well as prospective new clients and current clients.

The individual should have strong organizational capabilities and be comfortable working in English. 

Managing the client/contact database is a core function of this position.  This consists of basic skills such as inputting name and contact data, as well as updating the data.  Other basic database organization will be explained, but the contact database that is used does not require any special background training or skills.

There are some tasks that are more commercial in nature, but these entail scheduling calls and meetings for the Managing Partner and are mainly done through email communication.

GIA conducts multiple small conference meetings through the year in Vienna, Prague, and Warsaw.  This would mean overnight travel for these events, which would being with 3-4 meetings in year one and increase to up to eight meetings in year 3 or 4 where it is likely to remain.  At the meetings, the Operations and Commercial Manager would manage the relationship with the hotel, the setup of the room, and the registration process for the attendees (roughly 60-80).

Experience in negotiating with hotels is a plus but is not a prerequisite for this position.

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Microsoft Office - Advanced

Personality requirements and skills

Strong organizational skills are required. Experience buying/negotiating contracts is a benefit.  Some sales experience is also a benefit but not required.
