Job description, responsibilities and duties

Main responsibilities:
General responsibilities:
• shall participate in the work of the Employer according to his qualifications and to the best of his knowledge, in accordance with the guidance of the managing director
• shall make an effort to the best of his knowledge to continuously increase the professional and social reputation of the Employer
• shall perform his obligations according to the standards of the job with utmost care and diligence.
• shall be personally liable for all the work performed by him

Main responsibilities:
• Defines the purchasing strategy for the plant including responsibility for it, incorporating the global strategy of the Group.
• Search of best suppliers for indirect materials and services
• Support other departments
• Ordering and order follow up of production indirect materials and services
• Handles purchasing administration
• Management of documentation and data
• Reporting of work performance results according to the standards

Roles and tasks:
Supplier search:
• Perform market search in Slovakia and neighbour countries
• Guide the evaluation and selection of suppliers, based on quality, costs, process requirements and Magneti Marelli guidelines (certification, safety, environment)
• Perform selection and integration of new suppliers
• Continuous improvement by proposing alternatives respecting the standards, improving the quality of services and reducing the costs

Requirement definition:
• Actively participate on the definition of the needs and specifications
• Verify the feasibility and understanding of the requirements with the possible suppliers
• Propose alternative to the defined requirements where cost reduction or quality improvement can be achieved

Supplier selection and Ordering
• Update and use the selection matrix to select the best suppliers
• Order the materials or services
• Purchase of required amount of material
• Preparation of contracts and negotiation of contract conditions

Control of quality of received goods and services:
• Follow the delivery deadlines
• Implement with the requested team the materials and services
• Verify with the requested team the quality of the materials or services
• In case of non-conformity, contact the suppliers and apply penalty fees or compensation request

Required education

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Engineering equivalent degree linked to logistic purchasing or economics activities.

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Other knowledge

Microsoft Excel - advanced
Microsoft Word - advanced
Microsoft Outlook - advanced

Personality requirements and skills

• Knowledge in Working standards (legal and administrative aspects).
• Safety and health in the workshop.

• Experience and know how in planning, material ordering, warehouse management, flow optimization.
• Usage of a SAP.
• Knowledge in ISO TS, ISO 14001, OHSAS, continuous improvement tools.
• ISO TS knowledge and other type of rules required by specific customer.
• Core quality tools, FMEA, PPAP, P-FMEA, control plan.
• Automotive industry standards.
