The ISFC (sister organisation of EUROPEUM) is looking to hire the Head of Projects for its Prague head office. We are a small but growing team, which values integrity and accountability. The Centre was launched in June 2020 and is thus in the very early stages of its development. This means that we are looking for a team member who is happy to have some agency, is able to work independently and is willing to actively help build a brand-new think tank.

Interview dates: To be confirmed, expected to be mid-to end of July

Start date: 1st of August 2020

Remuneration: Competitive, spending on skills and experience. Up to 1 800 EUR a month based on the experience

Responsibilities:

● To create and deliver project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements;

● To identify resources and assign responsibilities and to manage the basic finances of the projects;

● To manage some day-to-day operational aspects of the project(s), including the liaising with Visiting Fellows and experts;

● To ensure that all the aims of the project and the quality standards are met;

● To ensure that any project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored;

● To prepare project reports;

● To work closely with a wide range of relevant local and international stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s);

● Engage with a wide variety of policy stakeholders to promote the cause of responsible finance and seek to build and maintain relationships where new policy developments demand it;

● Together with the broader team, to help design and deliver our work programmes, and a series of activities organised in partnership with others to improve knowledge and capacity in chosen areas;

● To help organise responses to issues or policy consultations, including engagement to gather data and views, drafting and publicising responses, and liaising with the relevant entities;

● To represent the ISFC’s interests and to be comfortable with some public speaking and travel;

● To provide advice to the CEO and other staff;

● To use IT or other systems to keep track of people and progress;

● To help evaluate the success of the project(s) against its/their benchmarking;

Person specifications:

● Fluency in English AND one of the region’s languages: Slovak, Polish, Hungarian or Czech (proficiency in more than one of these languages will be considered an advantage);

● Skills: active listening, decision making, interpersonal communication, resource and time management;

● At least a graduate degree qualification in Economics, Finance, Business or another relevant field;

● Previous experience with project management;

● A good understanding of the Central European political and economic context;

● Knowledge of sustainable finance and green transformation will be considered an advantage;

● A fast and accurate working style, with excellent written and verbal communication skills;

● The ability to manage a wide variety of tasks using good judgement and showing attention to detail.

● Optional: experience with grant proposals.
