Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are seeking a dynamic Academic Community Coordinator and Conference Manager to lead our global conference portfolio and strengthen our international research community. This role combines strategic event management with community engagement to advance ICT research collaboration worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Conference Management:

  • Plan, organize, and execute international academic conferences
  • Build relationships with leaders of communities and research institutions
  • Oversee conference budgets, timelines, and quality standards
  • Develop and maintain relationships with academic and industry partners and sponsors
  • Ensure conferences meet academic standards and EAI's reputation for excellence

Community Engagement:

  • Build and nurture relationships within the global ICT research community
  • Develop engagement strategies to grow EAI's membership and participation
  • Manage online community platforms and communication channels
  • Facilitate networking opportunities and collaborative initiatives
  • Support researcher recognition programs and awards
  • Coordinate with editorial teams and publication activities

Strategic Development:

  • Identify new conference opportunities and emerging research areas
  • Analyze industry trends and academic landscape developments
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic community growth initiatives
  • Develop partnerships with universities, research institutes, and industry organizations
  • Cooperate with marketing and IT development to effectively promote EAI conferences, community building and institutional involvement

Education & Experience:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital communication tools
  • Academic Knowledge: Understanding of academic research processes and scholarly communication
