The European Alliance for Innovation (EAI); https://eai.eu is a community-driven organization devoted to empowering ICT innovation in Europe. As the largest of its kind EAI is expanding its operations in Central Europe in cooperation with the Slovak Technical University. Through its over a hundred events worldwide, EAI provides an environment for ICT innovation community to interact.
EAI is currently seeking Venue Manager to join the already strong team in Bratislava to support its conference activities in the area of venues.

Specific Job responsibilities will include:
• select the right venue location relating to time of the year, locations, external overlapping events etc;
• negotiate venues and review all aspects of conference venue contracts in detail
• prepare and update the event’s budget while optimizing expenses
• monitor the deadlines regarding the cancellation and changes to avoid penalties
• collaborate with Finance department for timely invoices and payments based
• in coordination with other Conference Managers support accommodation arrangements for keynote speakers, organizing committee and EAI staff.

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

Technical Skills
- knowledge and understanding of conference and venue management and coordination activities
- knowledge of office practices, policies and procedures with practical experience using MS Office suite products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- good working level of written and verbal English;

Organization skills:
- Good organizational skills to support multiple parallel events;
- Ability to develop good customer relationships;
- Autonomous thinking and good analytical skills;
- Capability to adapt to dynamic environments;
- Ability to work hands-on and with limited supervision;
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
