Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for a Senior Operations Specialist, this role is solely dedicated to Etops's largest client, one of the biggest private markets asset managers in the world.
Your role and responsibility
In this position you will be responsible for:
- Production of independent fund valuation (Net Asset Value)
- Fund activity analysis
- Reconciliations of investors trades
- Monitoring and reconciling investment positions in custody
- Data collection, system update
- Contribution analysis of different Balance sheet items
- Cash accounts monitoring, reconciliations, payment instructions
- Data revision
- Reporting
- Various projects to increase operational efficiency
- Active communication with various counterparties (Client, Administrator, General partners etc.)
- Creating new and revising existing processes to ensure efficiency and data quality
- Manage, train and develop junior team members
- Provide context or explanations of various reports to data users from other teams on ad hoc basis

Personality requirements and skills
- At least 2 years of professional experience in fund accounting, technical accounting, asset management, investment management, banking, controlling, audit, or similar
- Very good command of written English as well as fluent communication
- Above average Excel experience & general IT intelligence (understanding and creating complex formulas comes easy to you)
- University degree in finance or similar
- Strong analytical thinking
- Ability to dive deep into concepts, understand them fully, not just how something works, but also why it works that way
- Ability to prioritize activities, juggle multiple different responsibilities and achieve target deadlines
- Knowledge of financial instruments and financial markets
- Last but not least: you don't work as a machine. You use your brain as a tool that can't stop looking for efficiency, improvements, automation and optimisation.
