Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for an experienced, professional and personable senior database administrator, with a strong technical background.


Your Role & Responsibility

As a senior database administrator your main responsibilities will involve:
• Together with the team you ensure the stable operation of the databases and applications of the Etops platform (MS-SQL, PostgreSQL & MongoDB)
• As a team player with broad expertise, you also support the team in other areas (application operation, logging infrastructure, security & CI/CD).
• You continuously drive automation in the database and application environment and thus actively reduce the amount of manual, recurring work
• With your profound knowledge you take over a central role in the engineering of new technologies as well as in the implementation of projects
• As a project and sub-project manager, you take on planning, conception and implementation tasks for database projects
• You perform performance analyses including the entire environment (applications, middleware, databases, infrastructure)
• You implement, maintain and improve database security and define the necessary security standards
• You create and maintain documentation of deployed solutions and operational procedures.


Your experience and profile

• You have profound knowledge in engineering and operation of MS-SQL and PostgreSQL databases
• You have a degree from a university of applied sciences or a computer science education with corresponding further education in databases
• You have many years of experience as a database administrator in a large IT environment, ideally with experience in the operation of data warehouse applications
• You have good know-how in the automation of databases, IT infrastructure and applications.
• Your conceptual, self-dependent and structured way of working as well as your fast comprehension and high-quality awareness distinguish you from others
• You have a good to very good command of written and spoken English
• You ideally have a good command of German (optional)
