Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for a highly organized, responsible, and independent Chief Accountant, who will be in charge of our financial function in Bratislava. You will be reporting directly to the Group CFO located outside of Slovakia. If you are ambitious, flexible, have analytical skills, work and learn fast, with positive attitude, and are ready to take full responsibility for accounting, reporting, and management controls of the auto leasing business – you are welcome to our team.
1. Your main responsibility will be independent accounting in the financial company
2. Keeping the company's accounts by the Accounting Act and applicable legal standards, accounting for incoming invoices, making payments
3. Registration and control of accounting documents
4. Setting up and improving accounting processes and controls
5. Preparation and control of tax returns, statistical reports, and audit documents,
6. Supervision of payroll calculations for Slovakian staff
7. Processing of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
8. Preparation of management reports for the Group CFO and the investors
9. Recruiting and training the financial team
10. Communication with financial institutions and banks
11. Communication with Auditors
EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTS
1. Education in economics or accounting,
2. Minimum 5 years of experience with accounting and tax processing
3. Experience with VAT returns, withholding tax, personal income taxes, income tax
4. Experience in IFRS accounting and reporting
5. English at level B2 or higher (written and spoken, company language is English)
6. Strong experience with MS Business Central (Navision), Dynamics 365
7. Experience with MS Excel, Word, Outlook
8. It will be a big advantage if you have good knowledge of international taxes and experience in an international company
9. We also welcome previous experience with Odoo, Power BI
