Job description, responsibilities and duties

The main goal of this position is leading the Global Sales Leads team to develop assigned segments according to ESET company and Segment Strategy. Through regular analyses of segment KPI’s, this team identifies and proposes ways of addressing sales related opportunities and issues within segments, with aim to achieve long term billings and revenue Growth. Director is as well responsible for leading billings planning in regions and its alignment within ESET and the existing Segment strategy.

Managerial Responsibilities:

- Participating in the development of the company's strategy.
- In collaboration with senior staff, developing new department strategy in line with the overall strategy and direction of the company. Taking on responsibility for the implementation of the strategy within the assigned business unit.
- Preparing realistic budget proposals and taking responsibility for prudent budget spending in accordance with the spending rules defined by ESET HQ.
- Evaluating and pursuing initiatives, investments and opportunities in line with company strategy.
- Managing, planning and delegating work to direct reports and taking accountability for the execution of assigned tasks in accordance with established procedures and processes.
- Proposing and implementing processes and workflow improvements.
- Making effective decisions based on all available information and taking accountability for them.
- Building and promoting effective collaboration and goal achievement within the department, between organizational units as well as across the company. Ensuring effective communication and sharing of relevant information.
- Taking responsibility for setting and achieving the objectives of his/her subordinate organizational units within HQ and branches in line with divisional objectives.
- Setting clear and realistic targets and expectations for the work performance of direct reports within set deadlines.
- Providing regular feedback and evaluating work performance of direct reports (e.g. probationary, fixed term, appraisal interviews).
- Optimally planning human resources, their substitutability and taking accountability for the attendance of department members. Working with a line manager to plan staffing and organizational changes.
- Collaborating in the hiring process of new employees.
- In cooperation with line managers, preparing a plan for their personal development, ensuring relevant development and training activities, further promoting the application of newly acquired knowledge and skills in practice.
- Encouraging direct reports to take initiative and responsibility in the implementation of tasks, involving them in the decision-making process, in order to increase their commitment and motivation.
- Actively seeking and taking advantage of opportunities for self-development, learning, sharing experience and expertise with others.

Responsibilities & Duties:

- Defining and tracking strategic and tactical KPIs for all segments with a focus on understanding the evolution of KPIs in key markets.
- Leading the department towards defining segment ambitions and key sales initiatives in line with ESET strategy, business plan and sales targets.
- Using the segment ambition set correctly, coordinating and reviewing local business plans with regional sales directors.
- Coordinating pilots of key assigned initiatives between global sales teams and regional sales directors.
- Analyzing security market trends and identifying key threats and opportunities, further acting accordingly upon the gathered information.
- Prioritizing and driving the most important tactical business activities in the segments for ESET's long and short term sales development and execution of ESET's segment sales and strategy.
- Preparing the definition and implementation of the most important pilot phase sales programs and ensuring their proper handover to the Global Sales Programs team for wider implementation.
- Collaborating on Go-to-Market strategies and overall product release strategy.
- Performing conceptual, system, creative and methodological activities.
- Performing other work as directed by a senior staff member in line with department and company activities.

- Strong experience and knowledge in crafting and developing mid/long term strategic plans.
- Comprehensive analytical background
- Experience and ability to manage and lead people – a minimum requirement of such background is 5 years.
- Experience with working within a matrix organizational structure and leading remote teams with different cultures
- Experience in formulating policy, developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
- Professional experience in software and/or hardware related industries, an ideal background for this position is IT Security
- Comprehensive experience with the Information & - Technology industry and its markets
- English C1/C2
- Experience and ability to communicate, negotiate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in various environments.

Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD.
