Work at the HQ of an international company. This is a completely new position within our global marketing. Join ESET and co-lead the creation of segment marketing strategies, value propositions, offerings & initiatives. Lead business case creation, perform analyses, and provide data intelligence to inform strategic planning, and decision-making to drive overall marketing efficiency. Works closely with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities, generate ideas, and develop business cases for profitable growth.

Global Segment Marketing Strategist is responsible for:

Data Intelligence, Insights and Analytics
• Strong descriptive and predictive analytics skills combined with the ability to identify business opportunities and form strategic recommendations and creative solutions to drive business forward.

Marketing Strategy:
• Understand core business and market drivers, analyze and actively use primary and secondary insights to help create differentiating segment marketing initiatives.
• Cooperate with other stakeholders responsible for ongoing improvements of segment marketing.
• Actively support visible quality increase via proactive challenging, suggesting and implementing improvements based on data, knowledge and insight.

Business Cases:
• Lead business cases creation using a logical structure.
• Design high level KPI metrics to be used for evaluating, creating benchmarks and improvement for both, strategic and tactical marketing initiatives and launches.
• Create dashboards to help plan and forecast performance, help track and improve ROI of marketing initiatives and product launches.

Propositions, Launches and Programs:
• Provide strategic marketing expertise in support of future segment proposition design and product/solutions/service launches.
• Provide segment relevant information and guidance that serves as an input for creation of strong campaign and/or program communication concepts.

Project Management & Collaboration:
• Actively project manage initiatives in full ownership, build mid-level to senior-level stakeholder relations and closely collaborate with other global, regional and priority country teams.

Innovation and Growth:
• Be an innovator, play an active role in identification of gaps in internal knowledge, processes, tools, capabilities, and solution approaches.
• Support, educate, and mentor other team colleagues to constantly raise the bar and improve quality of marketing outputs.
• Be a go to person for other team members to tackle challenging business problems that require superior analytical skills and critical thinking.

Personality requirements and skills

Required experience and skills:
• At least 6 years of experience in the following areas: marketing strategy, market insight, market analysis, market segmentation, business planning and forecasting, statistical modelling
• Solid understanding of B2B and/or B2C technology (digital security) market, buying process & stakeholders/audience needs and behaviors
• Understanding of endpoint security market, competitors, technology and trends
• Fluent English (C1 at least)
• Experience in creating high-quality business cases for profitable growth
• Experience in applying strategic planning model creation, audience segmentation and business forecasting
• Ability to combine strong data analytics understanding with creativity and executability pragmatism
• Ability to de-average audience groups and passion to be a true customer needs & behavior advocate
• Advanced project management skills
• Willingness to stand up for well justified plans & proposals
• Ability to formulate the big picture while considering key details

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD.
