Conversion optimization is to us both arts (creativity, web design) and science (research, testing). If you think the same, we are looking for a seasoned specialist to join our Conversion CRO team based in the ESET Global HQ in Bratislava.

The mission of the team is twofold:
• to increase ESET’s online revenues by optimizing the experience of our existing and prospective customers in a data driven way
• to find personal satisfaction and a sense of pride in doing things that can make a real difference
To achieve this, we cooperate with multiple global, regional and local stakeholders at ESET. We work closely with the Global Digital UX, other global teams and with the online teams in individual markets.

• Lend a hand to the creation of a global CRO strategy and roadmap
• Help us to retain existing and get new customers in the most effective way possible
• Use whatever tool necessary – e.g. web and business analytics, polls, screen recordings and common sense to identify challenges and friction points of our current and prospective customers in online
• Dive deep into quantitative and qualitative data – look at the existing one or gather fresh one
• Transform the findings into actionable suggestions on what to test and optimize
• Work with other global teams and teams in markets to bring together all the things required by specific tests and direct implementations
• Create and/or provide input on wireframes, mockups and designs
• Execute and evaluate A/B tests either independently, or assist in this process

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Experience with CRO methodology and methods (Split testing, screen recordings analysis, polls, SEO etc.)
• English knowledge at level B2
• Be able to bring and build your own toolkit to get things done (like math, coding, stickers, scissors)
• Be able to discover and interpret low level systems communications and data
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or JQuery knowledge
• Advanced knowledge of statistics as a science (data processing and evaluation)
• Ability to spot patterns in data
• Experience and knowledge in User experience design as an art
• Advanced web analytical skills, basic business analytical skills

Nice to have hard skills:
• Great working knowledge of general & web design related e-commerce best practices
• Experience with qualitative / quantitative research
• UX related experience (e.g. User research, UX design)
• Ability to express your ideas in the form of wireframes/mockups/code snippets

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD.
