Job description, responsibilities and duties

ESET is looking for an experienced leader with ambition to form our new Corporate Project Management Office (CPMO).

Head of CPMO will lead a team of senior project managers, manage a strategic projects and investment portfolio. He/she will build the Centre of Excellence which defines and maintains standards for project management.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Establish and maintain project culture ensuring that:
- there is a central repository for all corporate-level projects
- ensures collaboration and support across different Project teams across the company
- project methodology and project’s key facts are defined and aligned with stakeholder
- the projects are prioritized and aligned to short- and long-term goals of the business
- the right people have access to the right information to make the right decisions
- the projects are delivered within the planned time and budget while delivering expected benefits
- change management process is defined and followed when project deviates vs plan
company resources are utilized in the most efficient manner
- there are ongoing risk assessments and mitigation plans across all projects
- project portfolio reporting capabilities for key project stakeholders

Provide Management Reports that:
- Overall status and progress of projects
- Status of milestones and deliverables across the project’s portfolio
- Financial information about the budget, forecast, actuals, etc.
- Project risks and progress on mitigating these risks

Identifies and develops project management methodology, best practices and standards.
Mentor and train an experienced and competent staff of project managers

Requirements for the employee

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

- Proven working experience in project management 10+ year
- At least 5+ years of experience managing strategic projects portfolio, leading investment committee or as head of PMO
- At least 5+ year experience in the area of people management
- Experience with management of medium to large-scale, complex projects implementation including RFP process and contracts preparation, internal staff, and/or external clients.
- Experience & knowledge within the Project Management area & terminology according to a standardized methodology institution
- Experience with lean and agile values and principles, agile frameworks (and scaled agile frameworks)
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Advanced managerial skills – strategic thinking, negotiation, decision making, independent, result driven, pro-active approach


Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.
