Head of Core Technology Development

You will be leading one of ESET’s core technology development departments. This department is responsible for several core technologies and products like ESET Antispam, back-end systems (ESET LiveGrid), firewall & network detection, ESET Banking & Payment protection and ESET Online Scanner. In this role, you will report to the Chief of Endpoint Solutions and Security Technologies.

Your core responsibilities will be:

• create a strategy for the department that is aligned with overall company goals
• prioritize tasks according to overall strategy of the company and your department
• ensure that all projects and goals are finished and delivered on time and with appropriate quality
• communicate and coordinate development of all owned technologies across other departments
• process business requirements as well as internal improvements coming from non-business teams
• manage and plan department resources to ensure the best support of team members in achieving goals
• ensure that all owned technologies deliver the highest level of protection while meeting ESET quality standards
• maintain up-to-date and broad overview of the actual situation and new trends in the field of IT security
• actively support innovation, novel and pro-active approaches in the field of core technologies as well as in problem solving
• mentor people under your supervision, support their professional growth and motivate them to deliver excellent performance
• evaluate performance of your team members on a regular basis
• actively participate in hiring new team members
• plan department budget and ensure that budgetary restrictions are met
