Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are seeking a Service Desk Operator to join the ESET IT Support team to provide prompt 1st line support from telephone, intranet and email requests to ensure operational problems are resolved as quickly as possible

Responsibilities:

- 1st point of contact for ESET empoyees reg. IT requests
- Providing first level support through taking calls and handling the resulting incidents or Service Requests
- Using the incident management and request fulfillment processes,
- In line with Service Desk objectives - classification of incidents and initial support, resolution and recovery, incident ownership and tracking, incident closure.
- Processing orders
- Administrative support

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

- Excellent client service skills, with a strong emphasis on user satisfaction.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel within the company.
- Patience and tact.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
- Working knowledge of computer operating systems, and a knowledge of computer software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and other commonly used packages.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Must be available to report to work on regularly scheduled days and at the scheduled hour.
- Excellent skills in English language (minimum level B2)

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD.
