Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional experienced in Compensation and Benefits domain to join our HR team. Compensation & Benefits Specialist will be responsible for planning, developing and implementation of new and revised compensation & benefits programs, policies and procedures.

• Preparing and participating in annual and ad-hoc compensation and benefits surveys and assist with analyses, market research and job matching, job evaluation and pay equity activities.
• Reviewing changes in legislation that may affect employee compensation and benefits.
• Evaluating proposed and existing jobs and classifying them in accordance with the levels of importance and responsibility.
• Managing job documentation, job descriptions, databases and tables related to job codes and job families.
• Preparing statistical analysis, data modeling and incentive pay programs.
• Preparing supporting data for the review of annual salary budget.
• Reviewing of salary increases for accuracy and preparing performance bonus calculations before submission for approval and processing.
• Analyzing, designing and implementing benefits programs and related policies and procedures within ESET Group entities.
• Preparing, branding/revising and delivering employee communications related to benefits to maximize engagement.
• Managing benefits administration and maintenance of required records.
• Identifying problem areas and suggesting improvements in terms of benefits cost optimizations as well as employee satisfaction.
• Assisting in budget planning.
• Supporting HR roles with expert guidance and input.

• Minimum of 3+ years performing Compensation & Benefits related duties, preferably within an international organization.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills including the ability to offer alternative and creative solutions.
• Advanced expertise with MS Office tools, specifically Excel.
• Workday HR IS experience is a huge asset.
• Excellent attention to details.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently in a changing, fast paced environment.
• Manage the completion of projects independently and as a team.
• Proactive communication, follow-up skills.
• Ability to be a contributing member to HR team by working collaboratively and sharing responsibilities.
• We are looking for Slovak speaking candidate.
• Fluency in English is a must (very good level of written and spoken English).


Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET’s NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company’s global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first “VB100” award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we’ve received this accolade more than 100 times.
