Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an EMEA Business Analyst, who will be result-driven with good analytical thinking and skills, with ability to drive mid and long term projects focused on data analysis, interpretation, planning and data quality.

- Ownership, creation and maintenance of reporting dashboard for EMEA region in QlikQ ® tools and MS Excel with various database sources including SQL utilization
- Subject matter expert on the data analysis and interpretation of software sales data to decision makers
- Regular and ad-hoc reports creation for specific projects finding the proper reporting dimensions, filters for each data
- Owner of Business planning methodology, maintenance and further development of business planning tool to reflect necessary process and detail
- Support of territory managers in reporting topics
- Periodic data quality check and variance analysis and reporting
- Ownership and maintenance of other data sources such as global market reports and its import to reporting tools and structure

Required education

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

- Experience in similar positions
- Good knowledge of (both direct and indirect) sales processes in consumer and business segments
- Professional background from software or hardware related industries, technical background is a plus
- Organized, results oriented with great execution skills and ability to evaluate impact, strong metric/sales orientation
- Good communication skills
- Ability to listen, analyze, and quickly see trends in complex situations
- Good analytical thinking
- Proactive approach with drive to continues self-development and process improvement
- Resistance to risks, ability to keep the focus
- Teamwork, consensus orientation
- English – fluent and advanced
- University education (Master's degree) is a plus, specialization in marketing, sales, business and economics


Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.

What started as the brainchild of a few friends has evolved into the most valuable international brand of any Slovak company. Today ESET’s NOD32 technology protects over 100 million users across the world.

This success did not come overnight. The company’s global success and growth was given a boost in 1998 with its first “VB100” award from the prestigious Virus Bulletin magazine. Since then, we’ve received this accolade more than 80 times.

Today, over 1,000 employees around the world drive the company’s success − more than 450 of them in Slovakia, the home of ESET headquarters. We put great emphasis on research and development. In addition to seven regional centers, we are building a network of technology centers around the world – at present numbering nine.
