Job description, responsibilities and duties

ESET is looking for an experienced editor in English language for our WeLiveSecurity platform who will take care of the editorial calendar of WLS and make sure all ESET research articles are delivered in the best way. The ideal candidate will make sure original content coming from researchers meet the ESET style, quality level and guidelines throughout the publication process. She or he will be constantly in touch with the Editor-in-Chief and the colleagues from editorial, PR, research teams and will work in a highly motivated and winning team in a thriving, employee-oriented enterprise.

Main responsibilities:
- Define the publication calendar using our team collaborative tool
- Coordinate with researchers on the publication process
- Proof read and review of blog posts and articles
- Definition of important topics which are aligned to ESET’s strategy
- Support video and multimedia generation / publication in English language
- Review operation and features of the platform with webmaster
- Keep regular contact and meetings with the Editor-in-Chief
- Translate and localize content from the WeLiveSecurity in English platform
- Track currently hot news about IT Security to be covered on WLS
- Create reports about the performance of the platform based on given KPIs
- Manage author profiles (add, remove, edit) on the platform
- Taking care of the weekly / bi-weekly newsletter of the highlighted stories
- Moderate comments received on the platform together with its authors
- Accomplish the security guidelines defined by the company

Brief description of the company

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD. In 1992, together with their mutual friend Rudolf Hrubý, they formally established ESET.
