Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Preparation of group financial statements according to IFRS
• Supervising accounting processes of the Groups' worldwide entities in terms of accuracy and coherence
• Preparation and developing consistent Group accounting policies & procedures in accordance with IFRS (including implementation of new IFRS standards)
• Production of the analytical review of the financial statements
• Participation on monthly group financial reporting
• Advisory and support in financial questions & decisions from IFRS perspective
• Carrying out internal audits in the field of accounting of the Groups' worldwide entities
• Cooperation with the external Group auditors and Accounting consultants
• Supporting and advising of other finance departments of the Group on accounting related issues
• Participation in ad-hoc and global accounting related projects

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• University degree or diploma in Finance and Accounting
• An additional accounting certification, e.g. ACCA, is strongly preferred
• Fluency in English is a must (native or very good level of written and spoken English)
• At least 4 years of experience in IFRS accounting where experience in consolidation of an international group is strongly preferred
• Experience from international Audit/Tax environment is a plus
• Experience with global accounting software, group consolidation & reporting systems and its implementation is a plus
• Computer literate with excellent Excel skills and solid understanding of accounting software principles
• Strong analytical, numerical skills
• Strong sense of responsibility and organization of work
• Excellent time management
• Strong attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach
• Lots of energy and motivation
• Prepared to work some overtime hours during specific periods of the accounting cycle

The beginnings of ESET date back to 1987, when two young programming enthusiasts, Peter Paško and Miroslav Trnka, wrote a program for the detection of one of the world’s first computer viruses. They did not know that they had created one of the most successful antivirus programs in the world – dubbing it NOD.
