Job description, responsibilities and duties

GBS Accounting Senior Manager will be responsible for:

Advising business leaders on complex accounting issues under IFRS and leading the finance teams at local and corporate levels to apply the accounting practices in accordance with IFRS for all entities that permit the Consolidation and reporting of financial data to high management and to headquarters.

Develop new accounting policies and practices applicable including the redesign and ongoing maintenance of existing corporate accounting policies. Assisting the local finance team to adapt and follow the Company's Policies (IFRS) through analyzing and developing implementation plans for new accounting standards, and facilitating IFRS training programs and materials.
Leader of the consolidation process for all entities inside the SAP BPC (SAP Business Planning and Consolidation) and assist in the review of the Company’s quarterly and annual Reporting Package to HQ, with an emphasis on review of critical accounting policies and adequacy of footnote disclosures, including support of External and Internal Audit.
Leading the costing processes for the company to provide reliable information for decision making.
Leading the local and corporate tax teams to review and monitor the tax positions for all of entities involving transfer pricing policies, income tax, intercompany transactions, and uncertain tax positions, thereby ensuring tax compliance and optimization of the global tax burden.
Responsible for the integration of new companies and businesses inside the Finance Systems (SAP, BPC, and Dashboard), including the impact in the consolidation in the figures of the Purchase Price Allocation (PPA).
Monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting and analytical review, focused on the balance sheet and P&L at a group level. Contribute to the annual package report of the company.

Personality requirements and skills

Qualifications

- Accounting BS degree required;
- MBA in Finance/Accounting;
- DipIFR - Diploma in IFRS and CertIFR – Certified IFRS are a plus;
- SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) software is a plus

Knowledge & Abilities:
- Technical IFRS knowledge required with experience researching and implementing accounting standards including derivative accounting, impairments, purchase accounting – business combinations, consolidations, and fair value measurements;
- Previous experience in the implementation of SAP;
- Understand, compare, and contrast transactions under IFRS with local GAAP;
- Experience of multi-division, multi-national company;
- Experience in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, J-Sox would be a plus
