The Cloud Automation Engineer role is responsible for the creation of all Orchestration flows, flow validation, testing and re-use for all underlying automation components. S/he applies Cloud subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. The Cloud Automation Engineer utilizes consulting skills including questioning, listening, ideas development, personal rapport and subject matter familiarity to accomplish project tasks. S/he is capable of consulting, designing, testing, implementing, managing capability requirements and integrating of Cloud solutions into varied environments.

Required skills:
• Infrastructure knowledge (Linux, Windows, VMWare)
• Automation scripting languages
• Several years of ITO operational and/or engineering experience
• VRa, Ansible, Stackstorm development relevant experience
• DXC Operations Orchestration development relevant experience
• Being able to author and deploy automated workflows
• XML knowledge
• Working knowledge of platforms (Wintel, Linux and Virtualization), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS) and database environments
• Excellent understanding of DXC ITSM/ITIL framework and processes
• Proficient knowledge of DXC workflow tools
• MS Office

Desirable skills:
• Understanding of DXC Server hardware and datacenter concepts
• Understanding of ES standards
• Experience with one or more of the following: Java, Python, Windows PowerShell, Perl, Linux Shell, SQL scripting, VBScript
• Active Directory
• Working knowledge of platforms (Wintel, Linux and Virtualization), networking components (TCP/IP, DNS, and VLAN) and database environments
• Understanding of storage and backup technologies

• Able to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to translate customer, business and functional requirements
