Job Profile

The key responsibility is to meet with the application owners to understand the application, inventory all components of the application (instances, servers, load-balancing, etc.), identify all tightly-coupled applications (i.e., apps that must be moved together), migration order (dev, test, prod, etc.) for each application, and gather all non-auto-discoverable data that is required to migrate/transform each application (freeze periods, maintenance windows, user base, interfaces, ports, IP-address dependencies, server hostname dependencies, availability requirements, etc.). Also, contributes to any application architecture deliverables.

Resource will be required to interact with client to determine the inventory of applications, their relation to each other, and their associated use of the computing infrastructure. In parallel he/she will also communicate with technical resources as Migration Architect, Network specialist etc. and support them with required information.


Mandatory Skills:

• Excel knowledge on the Expert level
• PowerBI knowledge
• Ability to analyze applications and infrastructure for both application and server consolidation.
• Ability to work with Analytical tools
• Ability to work with multiple Data sources
• Must be able to interact with client application subject matter experts
• Minimum of 5 years work experience in IT
• Broad IT knowledge is required
• Strong communication skills

• Broad understanding of application architectures and application infrastructure
• Ability to interact with customers regarding business and technical information and issues
• Assess impact of moving applications to different Environments
• Analyze and Interpret collected data to support migration planning and avoid any disruption in later phases.
• Present and share outcomes and results to the migration team in timely and in appropriate manner
• Work with data management tools in Customer and/or DXC environment (CMDB, ESL, Atrium, ServiceNow, etc.)
• Strong client-facing communication skills
• Self-starter, able to set their own direction
• Ability to work in Project driven environment
• Ability to work independently and within the team
• Ability to navigate in an ambiguous environment
• Capable of working with virtual teams across regions and time zones
