Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Data Center Transformation (DCT) Program is mandated to transform data centers by consolidating high-cost, end-of-life, or redundant data centers into strategic locations. The Senior Program Manager supporting the DCT Program will be a qualified individual who will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the team's activities to manage and implement project and / or interrelated projects from contract / proposal initiation to final operational stage. The role of the senior Program Manager will be running region and/or very large site with over a (10,000 devices).
DUTIES:
• Partner with various parts of the business in including ITO Delivery, DCS, Network, Procurement, Finance,
· Legal, Account teams, IT, Solution teams, DCS Facility, Global Real Estate, ES TS Relocation and ES Financial Services in establishing project teams and providing overall direction for the designated DC closure
• Manage project teams consisting of members from multiple groups and locations across all our sites in the Americas and act as a mentor to all team members
• Ensure program funding guidelines are well understood by all key stakeholders and support the program and project managers with communicating the funding guidelines and manage escalations and issues that may arise from lack of clarity and understanding of program funding rules
• Partnering with the DCT Global Transformation lead to guide the program and project managers through migration methodologies
• Support the Project managers to perform project estimation, budget management, formulate project delivery strategies, establish milestones/schedules, maintain & report project status, and monitor progress of all team members.
• Support the project managers by participating in discussions to determine project prioritization and be accountable for bringing project to delivery on time, within budget and scope.
• Ensure adherence to legally binding requirements
• Controls project requirements, scope, and Establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria.
• Install appropriate automated systems for management of projects
• Develop, propose, and negotiate project proposals, quotations, and add-ons to leadership and the client.
• Analyze needs and recommend appropriate planning concepts and tools to be used for all facets of planning, scheduling, and tracking projects
• Analyze project progress/costs and facilitate the development of recommended alternatives
• Integrate and use project management methodologies
• Create communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders including the customer
• Advise senior management on project management capability and risk
• Maintain awareness on emerging technologies and project management techniques
REQUIRED:
• Minimum 7 to 10 years Program Management experience in Data Center Migration projects
• Can manage work across multiple time zones within North America
• Ability to work under highly stressful environments and stringent deadlines
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills – including MS Project
• Must be able to travel if required
• Evening and Weekend work required on occasion for project roll-outs
• strong English language skills

• Degree in IT related discipline
• Outsourcing industry experience
