Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Junior Usability Analyst will contribute key skills and lead activities which result in Use-centric ergonomic experiences for the enterprise user. This role will engage teams across the entire Modern Workplace Offering portfolio and across multiple industry sectors.

The preferred candidate will be a design research facilitator and data analyst capable of collaborating with a global team of technologists, architects and developers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish subjective and objective information research channels
Process data sets which contribute to artificial cognition engines
Conduct empathic research and understand behavioral and motivative factors
Expertise in current user centered design techniques and methodologies
Plans, validates, and implements research methods to test interactive and interface design data
Leads the development of personas and journey maps
Analyses, evaluates, describes, and reports results to stakeholders
Problem solves for work flows as well as Information Architecture and drives innovation
Contributes to interactive design pattern library

Requirements for the employee

Personality requirements and skills

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Interactive Media, Industrial Design, Communication Design, User Interface Design, Information Design, Cognitive Psychology or a related field
  • Appreciation for the critical importance of research using scientific methodologies for profiling to avoid cognitive bias which may undermine final data output
  • Analytical problem solving, with the ability to apply creative thinking to complex problems
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of research and design activities and techniques
  • Good written and articulation skills
  • The ability to design against broad business problems
  • Capable to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with Agile, Design Thinking, Lean UX and similar methodologies is an advantage
