Junior PowerBi Data Scientist

We are looking for a junior data scientist to work with MS PowerBI and possibly other data focused technologies. The role will include analyzing existing data sources, integrating them into PowerBI solutions and designing and configuring PowerBI reports. Possibly, the responsibilities can expand into developing PowerApps and other Azure focused serverless solutions.

In a successful candidate, we will prefer an inquisitive mind and an eye for detail, the ability to learn quickly and think creatively. A strong candidate should demonstrate a fundamental understanding of SQL code writing and database structures in general. Ideally, he or she should also have a basic understanding of other programming languages such as C or Python.

Your job will include working on different projects with the primary focus of creating and fine tuning of PowerBI solutions for a variety of customers. Your team will include a senior developer, who will lead the design efforts and guide you through the development process. The role is part of a broader team, which includes application and database developers, architects and consultants working together to deliver cutting edge customer solutions using up-and-coming technologies.

We work in agile teams focused on collaboration and knowledge sharing. Daily SCRUMs and ad-hoc meetings are often conducted in English language, as are customer engagements. A strong spoken and written English is hence obligatory. To be able to perform the role, the following skills and experiences are mandatory:
• Interest in and understanding of databases and/or data science
• Familiarity with SQL syntax and DB table structures
• Basic experience in development of software applications (web, DB or others)
• A good ability and confidence in speaking and writing in English language
• An ability to work in teams
• A steep learning curve
• Interest in current developments and trends in the IT industry
