Offering Project Manager - Deployments

Role objective

•Leads Cloud and ITO deployment projects to ensure that it meets all scope, time, budget and quality expectations, through planning, controlling and managing.
•Lead security deployment projects to ensure that it meets all scope, time, budget, and quality expectations, through data gathering, planning, coordinating, and managing.
•Manages corporate and third party vendor efforts to plan, build and implement solutions to internal problems and issues.


Responsibilities

•Manages Cloud and ITO deployment projects. This may include detailed design of sponsors' high-level concept High risk.
•Manages project team or teams. Manages internal as well as external resources with a team size generally greater than 20 people from multiple countries.
•Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members.
•Provide project management and support for Cloud, Platforms and ITO Virtual Private Cloud global deployment projects. Projects will include deploying new VPC infrastructure into existing sites due to significant growth, new HW & applications added as part of new VPC releases and features, platform refresh and migrations.
•Manage global ordering for specific items needed to support assigned projects.
•Work and resolve escalations when needed to clear roadblocks for resources.
•Work with delivery for the release to production processes.
•Complete project closure activities when the deployment is completed.
•Leverage PMBOK principles, Microsoft Project plans and schedules, issues logs, risk assessments, communications plans, resource plans, etc.
•Establish and maintain SharePoint folder to store all project documents and provide biweekly status reporting to DXC Management on project status.
•Flexible and able to work global hours when needed to support critical projects.
•Leverage Agile development, design thinking and test-and-learn approaches to offering development to ensure rapid time to market.


Accountabilities

•Manages project financials including business impact. Must determine if it meets or exceeds approved budgets. Provides reliable financial forecasts to Management. Actively drive efforts to simplify, streamline and reduce costs for ongoing deployment efforts.

•Delivery of deployment projects on time and at or under budget.
