As a Technical Consultant in Localization you will use your knowledge and skills to manage scope and budget of localization projects, interact with colleagues, vendors, internal and external customers across the globe to deliver localized contents. You will follow project management processes typical for the industry, tailored per customer.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Having 1-2 years of experience in the required field (localization/translation industry), you will learn DXC established localization processes, you will get necessary directions and guidance on the process and tools specific for the industry from more senior members during onboarding and gradually grow into the role completely
You will be:
• Managing localization projects of various kind, e.g. websites, marketing campaigns, multimedia, legal documents, software, user manuals, etc.
• Being able to select and advise proper localization strategy, involve proper vendors and manage their sub-deliveries,
• Being in charge of analysis of the scope of work and providing a price quotation to customer for approval
• Provide consulting service to customers in localization industry, by understanding their environment, able to propose best, effective and innovative solutions
• Discussing various localization topics on daily manners and with all project’s stakeholders
• Building and maintaining satisfactory professional relationships with customers, based on positive experience, on-time, on-budget delivery

Personality requirements and skills
• At least Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Economics/Engineering (computer science, technical writing, etc.), IT or equivalent, can be a linguistic education either
• Hands-on experience with localization or translation industry or standard project management tasks
• Desire to work in a team, ability of self-organization and independence in ownership and judgement, easy to work with, sensitive to personal and cultural differences
• Self-starter, taking ownership of provisions, having attention to detail and timeliness, focused despite obstacles
• An open, flexible and adaptable mindset to cope with a rapidly changing set of tasks
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Self-driven to learn and ability to actively use achieved knowledge
• At least B2 (upper intermediate) in English, both written and spoken
Even better if you are/have:
• Experience with Localization tools, e.g. Idiom, Trados, WorldServer or any other Translation Management System or with Machine Translation
• Experience with project management
• Used to large corporations working environments
• Engineering experience in Desktop publishing, multimedia processing, etc.
• Other than English language skill
• Hands-on experience with localization or translation industry or standard project management tasks
• Desire to work in a team, ability of self-organization and independence in ownership and judgement, easy to work with, sensitive to personal and cultural differences
• Self-starter, taking ownership of provisions, having attention to detail and timeliness, focused despite obstacles
