Cloud Applications Engineer

We are looking for a Cloud Applications Engineer/Developer to join our Agile development team. In this role you will be responsible for creation and continuous improvement of offerings based on the private and public cloud platforms. You will work in a team of engineers, developers and QA testers participating on the technical design, modeling, coding, testing and release of the automated cloud solutions to production.
Key responsibilities
• Review and analyze gathered information in technical research; evaluates tools and methodologies to ensure that designs adhere to current industry, client and company standards
• Translate business requirements into technical engineering deliverables including documentation, Bills of Material (with Product Groups), cost, etc.
• Code, test, debug, implement, and document new software, either simple tools or parts of more complex applications; initiate design, develop new features, develop validation/test plans and provide support for rollout to production
• Participate or lead the design and development of the automation of the solution deployment and operations
• Assist in the completion of unit testing by preparing test data, running tests and evaluating results; develop screen tests and debugging problems; develop test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs
• Develop and provide technical documentation, participate and oversee test-plan development, integration and deployment
• Provide time / resource estimates for assigned projects
• Engage in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new methods to apply to the situation
• Support Cloud service deployments into new locations
• Provide support for initial deployments (Job 1) and engineering support for the operations team (L4). This will include KT sessions
