Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
Key responsibilities:
Management of cross-functional project team of less than 40 people, interfacing regularly with internal teams (local Delivery team, DC teams, Engineering, Networks, SW installation and testing teams) and external vendors. Frequently represent the organization to other teams and vendors.
Manage project financials including tracking of all costs (hardware, cabling, and labor costs) and making reliable forecasts.
Coordinate change requests and attend CAB reviews with the local Delivery team. Knowledge of Change Management processes is a plus.
Preparing weekly status reports, attending staff meetings (AMS time zone), issue review meetings, etc.
Must be flexible and able to work some hours regularly overlapping with the AMS time zones.
Work across multiple business units to oversee all aspects of the projects ensuring that all areas are addressed and being adequately covered.
Oversee project financials of all projects globally including tracking of all costs and provide reliable financial forecasts.
Actively drive efforts to simplify, streamline and reduce costs for ongoing deployment efforts.

Required Experience:
Recent Data Center Project Management experience
First Level University degree (Engineering degree in Computer Science/Information systems or related field) or equivalent experience
5-10 years of experience in technical project management or in like roles/businesses
1-3 years of technical experience in operational support, delivery or SW development, would be a plus
3-5 years of experience in a leadership position
PMP certification
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Experience managing projects deploying HW and SW in one or more of the following areas: Windows servers, VMware, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL (or other enterprise-level database), Backup, SAN-based storage.
Understanding of infrastructure operations and delivery of production support services on an enterprise-level is a plus.
Understanding of physical infrastructure requirements and installation (cabling, power requirements, rack layouts, etc.).
Experience with customer environments within data centers. Especially complex environments with large data stores.
Proactive with excellent leadership skills. Lead others using an assertive style, with a proven ability to complete critical projects on time and within budget.
Recent knowledge of Datacenter Management, operational policies and procedures.
In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and techniques (PMP or Prince Certified).
Experienced in managing complex projects with high value (people, budget, cost).
Attention to detail and ability to understand and manage all facets of complex IT projects is needed.
Excellent people management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
Broad experience in infrastructure projects including servers, storage and networking.
Superior communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
Advanced communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. (e.g. written, verbal, presentation); mastery in English.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, One Note and SharePoint.
