Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are US based fast growing company providing procurement services mainly in indirect materials for our clients majority within Automotive industry.

We are looking for an independent, self-driven, self-confident, goal oriented approach with Czech or Slovak and Hungarian and English (+ other language beneficial) and experience within indirect materials to fill-in position within Purchasing Department.

Job Description:

· Perform in accordance with departmental procedures and standards.

· Meet or exceed assigned objectives and KPI’s

· Responsible for item sourcing, item content and item maintenance activities through the creation and maintenance of item master records, including:

o Responding to various Request For Quote types (RFQ) and Supplier Catalog Management requests (SCM)

o Sourcing projects

· Responsible for supplier selection and management based on customer specific or multi-customer commodity strategy; establishment of beneficial supplier relationships and managing supplier performance; including:

o Supporting the use of Strategic Suppliers and identification of opportunities to expand strategic content or supply base

o Achieving cost savings objectives

o Negotiation of favorable terms with non-strategic suppliers

o Proper identification and management of directed supplier or manufacturer relationships

o Maintaining commodity and quote notes and documentation reflective of sourcing decisions for key commodities

o Conducting supplier performance reviews as needed to improve overall customer satisfaction

· Responsible for processing and management of purchase orders to the supply base; resolving any issues that arise during the order fulfillment cycle; including:

o Order related inquiries (IQs) (requisitioner and supplier)

o Order related errors (EDI Errors)

o Supplier invoicing and delivery concerns

· Support efforts to improve process efficiencies

· Support DSSI’s customer satisfaction objectives by ensuring customer, supplier and related issues are addressed, consistent with DSSI guidelines.

· Provide customer requisitioner support as needed including initiating approved customer requisitions, following up on late orders, following up on returns (RMA’s) to make sure proper credit is received, establishing VMI process support or other cost effective ordering/inventory processes, and other approved support activities assigned by DSSI management.

· Mentor, train and support other team members as needed.

· Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as required at the direction of management.

· Responsible for conforming to procedures and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Slovak - Advanced (C1) and English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Hungarian - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

· Strong understanding of purchasing practices and standard purchasing systems;
· Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, with strong understanding of Excel
· Capable of conducting price and term negotiations with suppliers that meet DSSI and customer expectations;
· Create and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers;
· Ability to balance the need to proactively and aggressively manage supply base, while completing daily transactional workload within customer expected timing goals in an effective manner;
· Demonstrate strong skills in verbal and written communications;
· Willing and able to work as part of a team:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
