We are US based fast growing company providing procurement services mainly in indirect materials for our clients majority within Automotive industry.

We are looking for an independent, self-driven, self-confident, goal oriented approach with either fluent Romanian/English (Slovak is advantage) and experience within indirect materials to fill-in position within Purchasing Department.

Job Description:

· Responsible for item sourcing and maintenance for transactional items through the creation and maintenance of item master records to published timing and quality goals. This includes, but is not limited to:
o Request For Quotes (RFQ), Non-Urgent Spot Buys, Price Maintenance RFQ, Launch RFQ, Commodity RFQ
o Supplier Catalog Management requests (SCM)
o The identification and successful completion of resourcing opportunities
o Adhere to Catalog Content Standards guidelines to ensure accurate and quality content is reflected in item master content
· Responsible for supplier selection and management based on customer needs and commodity strategy; establish mutually beneficial supplier relationships and manage to performance objectives. This includes, but is not limited to:
o Support the use of Strategic Suppliers and identify opportunities to expand strategic content or supply base
o Identify and manage directed supplier or manufacturer relationships
o Negotiate favorable terms with transactional supply base
o Maintain the Supplier Assignment table in Epic
o Maintain commodity notes reflective of sourcing decisions for key commodities
o Conduct supplier performance reviews as may be needed to improve overall customer satisfaction
· Responsible for the oversight of accepting, validating and issuing supplier purchase orders to the supply base; resolution of any issues that arise during the order fulfillment cycle to published timing and quality goals: This includes, but is not limited to:
o Order related inquiries (IQs)
o Order related errors (EDI Errors)
o Supplier invoicing concerns
· Support DSSI’s customer satisfaction objectives by ensuring all customer, supplier and related issues are addressed thoroughly and timely consistent with documented DSSI response guidelines.
· Understand and achieve customer cost savings and transactional timing goals.
· Understand and achieve DSSI margin objectives.
· Mentor, train and support other team members as needed.
· Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as required at the direction of management.
· Responsible for conforming to procedures and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Romanian - Advanced (C1) and English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

· Strong understanding of purchasing practices and standard purchasing systems;
· Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, with strong understanding of Excel
· Capable of conducting price and term negotiations with suppliers that meet DSSI and customer expectations;
· Create and maintain positive relationships with customers and suppliers;
· Ability to balance the need to proactively and aggressively manage supply base, while completing daily transactional workload within customer expected timing goals in an effective manner;
· Demonstrate strong skills in verbal and written communications;
· Willing and able to work as part of a team:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
