We are seeking an experienced MHE Supervisor (VZV Supervisor) to join our team in Nitra, Slovakia, who is willing to work in shifts.


Your Responsibilities:

Supervise all MHE drivers to include all required preoperational checks and post-shift reports. Schedules and/or arranges for maintenance and repair of forklift trucks.


Key accountabilities:

  • Ensure training is conducted in accordance with our program and timescales meeting operational requirements in line with legislation and DP World policy. (Assessments, onboarding, AOS)
  • Responsivity for internal racking inspections
  • Responsible for MHE safety inspections
  • Conduct one to one and weekly briefings with all MHE drivers
  • Overall responsibility for all MHE and MHE drivers
  • Ensure paperwork detailing training given is produced timely and accurately ensuring evidence of training undertaken.
  • Ensure safe working practices for manual handling/mechanical handling during training.
  • Ensure all MHE drivers comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide coaching and brief MHE drivers on their behavior to always promote safe working practices.
  • Analyze and report on MHE driver audit data effectively. 
  • Report to the Operations Manager and Health and Safety Manager on effective training required and development of the MHE driver workforce.
  • Full ownership of safety investigations for any accidents or near misses involving MHE
  • Organizing MHE drivers for designated areas during shift for orderliness at all times.
  • Control of MHE contractors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Your Profile:

  • Minimum high school diploma (graduation required).
  • Experience of a training function within a warehouse environment is essential.
  • A sound knowledge of manual handling techniques to assessor level is essential.
  • RTITB Lift Truck Instructor qualification is essential, experience and licences for forklift type I. a cat.B,C,D,E,W1.
  • Pivot Truck experience is essential.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative, working to strict deadlines.
  • A flexible approach to teamwork is essential.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people.
  • Investigation experience advantageous.
  • Computer literacy
  • Good organizational skills
  • Experience of writing training packages desirable
  • At least 2 years of experience in team management within a production or logistics company.
  • Fluent Slovak language and English language skills  - advanced
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask, make informed decisions, and work under pressure.
  • Understanding of relevant procedures, documentation, and company policies.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new knowledge and industry standards.
  • Thorough awareness of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Willingness to work in shifts.
