Position Overview
The Vmware Engineer will be part of a cohesive team with broad-based responsibilities for VMware. This position global environment using advanced technology. The Engineer will have responsibilities in designing, implementing, automating, troubleshooting and supporting issues related to VSphere. Will also participate in root cause analysis for all VMware and OS problems and be responsible for deploying operating System and ESXi service packs, security patches and bug fixes on all physical and virtual boxes.

You are responsible for
• Operation of VMware vSphere environments.
• Troubleshooting related problems within the virtual environment.
• 1st and 2nd level on-duty support in non-office hours.
• Support during implementations, incident involvement
• Participation on simple virtualization related projects
• Handling of corporate processes and requirements in Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration Management
• Delivering/supporting of Root Cause analysis within scope of responsibilities for major issues

• Starting salary from 1100 EUR gross / month depending on experience
• annual bonus of 10% calculated on the basis of personal performance and company results

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• VMware vSphere Management (at least 1 year).
• Experience with small (10+ hosts) VMware vSphere environments.
• Basic knowledge of storage and networking technologies.
• 2nd level on-duty support during non-office hours.
• Communication capacities, able to work under pressure, willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications
• VCP5 / 6x Certified.
• Understanding Disaster Recovery concepts
• Hewlett-Packard and Cisco UCS blades knowledge.
• Additional knowledge of at least one of the following technologies: SRM, Horizon.
• Knowledge of Scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell).
• Storage or Networking vendor-related certification.
• Experience of working with ITIL procedures.
• Basic knowledge in Windows, Unix/Linux and centralized storage
• Microsoft Hyper-V experience. Installation and maintenance of Hyper-V based environment
