Position Overview
As a Leader on the Incident Response Team, you are a key member of the CSIRT and responsible for the management of cyber security incident response engagements; including but not limited to, assembling the appropriate key stakeholders, organizing and leading CSIRT response efforts, and reporting to both technical and executive stakeholders.

This role requires a balance of technical expertise and clear communications under high pressure situations to effectively maintain control and lead through the cyber security incident response lifecycle.
You will personally lead applicable functional security teams, as well as, other relevant stakeholders and participants through multiple concurrent incident response engagements.

You are responsible for
• Execute and continually optimize a unified Diebold Nixdorf Security Incident Response process in partnership with appropriate teams across technology and business units
• Serve as the security leader for major or high-profile security incidents including validating and raising incidents, coordinating response activities, facilitating information sharing, and conducting executive level reporting
• Maintain relationship with Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) members across the business and support functions ensuring that Incident Response processes are designed to respond and recover from security incidents
• Provide timely and relevant updates to appropriate executives, leaders and decision makers in the event of a security incident
• Test and maintain incident response plans and processes to address existing and emerging threats
• Organize & maintain documentation for executive and targeted functions for table-top exercises
• Handle IR retainers and coordinate third party engagements
• Establish meaningful KPIs for team performance & SLAs/OLAs with a mindset of continuous improvement
• Train and mentor team members, analysts, engineers & investigators


Qualifications
• At least one of the following certifications - (GIAC GCIH or CERT CEIH or EC-Council E|CIH)
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience leading incident response engagements
• Experience building and optimizing incident response plans and playbooks
• People management or leadership experience
• At least 3 years’ experience working in a Security Operations team
• Detailed understanding of NIST 800-61
• Hands on experience working with security technologies (examples IDS/IPS, SIEM, etc)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate to both technical staff and executives


Preferred Qualifications
• Security Operations Center leadership experience
• Prior experience working in large enterprise environments
