Senior Windows Administrator

As a Senior Windows Administator you will provide comprehensive Windows Server operating system and Active Directory support services to customers. Assist with the development and implementation of projects. Provide second and third line technical support to Customers and other Teams within Diebold Nixdorf. Perform routine procedures to ensure smooth running of the Windows Server operating system and Active Directory.



You are responsible for

• Operation, administration and design of Windows Servers and Active Directory infrastructure and related services (WSUS, PKI, RDS, ADFS etc.)
• Operation and administration of VMware VSphere and Hyper-V
• Troubleshooting problems within the environment and solution proposal
• On-call support in non-office hours is optional
• Keep the environment documentation accurate to comply with the security and operational standards and procedures
• Handle Incident, Problem and Change management tickets in accordance with SLAs
• Documents operational procedures and works independently according to them
• Independent and proactive approach to incident and problem solving and environment optimization and design
• Advanced scripting (PowerShell)


Qualifications

• MCSE: Core Infrastructure – Securing Windows Server of supported version OS
• MCSE: Core Infrastructure – Designing and Implementing a Server Infrastructure
• MCSE: Core Infrastructure – Implementing an Advanced Server Infrastructure
• 8+ years hands on experience with Microsoft Windows Server Administration of current versions (2008R2, 2012, 2012R2, 2016, 2019)
• 5+ years hands on experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory (Design and architecture of Active Directory infrastructure)
• 2+ years hands on experience, knowledge and design of Public Key Infrastructure, Active Directory Federation Services, Remote Desktop Services
• 4+ years hands on experience, knowledge and design about Networking, DNS, DHCP, network troubleshooting, VPN, IPsec
• 3+ years hands on experience and knowledge about operating system security, network security and software security
• 4+ years active usage of Microsoft Windows scripting languages and use of command line (PowerShell)
• 3+ years hands on experience and knowledge of VMWare VSphere and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Willingness and interest in operating Microsoft Windows Server based environments



Preferred Qualification

• German language skills are a plus
• Knowledge of Scripting languages (e.g. Powercli / VBS).
• Experience of working with ITIL procedures.
• Microsoft Hyper-V experience. Installation and maintenance of Hyper-V based environment
• Good communication skills and ability to efficiently work in a multinational teams
• Experience working in an ITIL oriented company
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Overview and interest in general IT technologies (for comprehension of context)
• Advanced spoken and written English B2+
• Certifications related to the requested skills are a plus
