Job description, responsibilities and duties

We’re looking for a curious and motivated individual who doesn’t settle for “it works” — but always asks why it works.

As part of our DevOps Academy, you’ll go through multiple hands-on chapters covering core technologies like Linux, Git, Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes, while working toward certifications as an AWS Solutions Architect and Certified Kubernetes Administrator. In your first two years, you’ll gain real-world experience across a range of internal and client projects, always with the support of your mentor.

This role is designed for or early-career developers who want to build a strong DevOps foundation and grow into cloud infrastructure professionals.

‍Roles and Responsibilities

As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you’ll contribute to both internal and customer projects while learning the ropes of modern DevOps practices in our DevOpsAcademy. Your responsibilities will grow as your skills do, but from the start, you’ll:

  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of development tools and environments (e.g. CI servers, version control, test automation)

  • Help manage and maintain cloud infrastructure — primarily in AWS, but also in Azure

  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and services

  • Write and maintain scripts and automation tools to improve deployment and operations

  • Contribute to real project work — not dummy tasks — with support from senior engineers

  • Continuously build your understanding of modern DevOps tools, trends, and best practices

Ideal Skills and Requirements

  • Student or graduate in Computer Science or related field
  • 1–2 years of internship or work experience in programming (web dev is a plus)

  • Curious and open to learning new technologies

  • Comfortable with Git and basic scripting

  • Bonus if you’ve touched any of these:

    • Terraform
    • Bash / Python / Go
    • Helm / Argo CD

Employee perks, benefits

  • Growth-Focused Environment
Learn by doing with real projects, mentorship, and a clear path from junior to architect.

  • Access to a Shared Knowledge Base
Leverage our collective DevOps expertise, tools, and internal documentation.

  • Remote-First Culture
Work from anywhere — we support remote collaboration and async communication.

  • Certification Bonuses
Earn extra rewards when you complete key certifications like AWS or Kubernetes.

  • Flexible Working Hours
Adapt your schedule around studies, life, or personal projects.

Information about the selection process

During the academy phase, your hourly rate starts at €5, increases to €10 upon certification, and reaches €15 when you join your first client project. The full program spans 4 years: the first half focuses on learning and practical exposure, and the second half on growing into a key team member based on your goals.
