Job description, responsibilities and duties

Purpose of the job:

Developing complex solutions for Record to Report processes and activities for companies within Deutsche Telekom Group.

Job content:
• Developing and delivering automated processes.
• Working on change requests to adjust existing automated solutions.
• Scripting, Server Reporting Services.
• Building reports and dashboards within BI Technologies.
• Identification of the most suitable data sources and database interfaces.
• Creating relational data models and/or data cubes (big data processing) for various Business Intelligence solutions.
• Design, development, testing and documentation of scripts to purge old data, converting data and managing security.
• Developing further data including aliases, mapping tables or predictive analysis
• Supporting in data retrieving process from systems
• Coordinating activities with other units – bridge between Reporting & Controlling and IT division
• Setting and regularly reviewing process documentation
• Training and supporting other developers in delivery of automated solutions
• Reporting issues, breaks, risks, improvements to Team Leader
• Providing informative newsletters about new platform features, functionality, systems downtimes

The salary for this position is from 1200€ gross.
The published salary is the minimum possible offer. The starting salary may be higher depending on the extent of fulfillment of the employee's requirements (education, language skills, required practice, personality assumptions and skills).

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Information Technology / Economics

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• University education in Information Technology / Economics (ideally with focus on subject matter)
• Experience with scripting, automation and BI solutions
• Experience within the field of application programming

Language knowledge:
English – fluent
German – advantage

PC skills:
• Excellent working knowledge of IT system environments
• Advanced knowledge of operating systems
• Database operations (e.g.MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle incl. connections to DB, backup and restore procedures, SQL client ) ,
• HW infrastructure interfaces, system analysis

Other skills:
• Active experience and delivery of excel macros, Visual Basic scripts or other configuration/scripting type technology;
• Understanding of workflow based logic and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution;
• Good communication skills with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience;
• Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation;
• Process oriented, easy to understand the flow in the ERP process, capture inputs and outputs, exceptions;
• Structured and independent work approach
