Job description, responsibilities and duties

As member of the international process management team of Deutsche Telekom Shared Services you are responsible for the implementation and management of cross-border accounting projects. In this regard, you will face the following interesting tasks and challenges:
• Analysis of processes and identification of optimization opportunities
• Evaluation and realisation of process improvements to ensure cost reduction and increase of efficiency and/or quality
• Roll-out of the financial accounting processes related to the One ERP project
• Execution of assessments and Fit/Gap process analyses
• Introduction of new reporting standards and underlying processes, e.g. IFRS16 - Lease accounting
• Support of roll-in projects to integrate further accounting functions into the SSC from other European Deutsche Telekom entities
• Implementation and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Optimization of organisational aspects (e.g. allocation of work items to staff)
• Development of concepts as basis for the realisation of IT improvements
• Development of training material and conduction of in-house-trainings for staff
• Status reporting of your projects in front of the management board on a national and international basis and regular communication of project status with the heads of departments

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Educational Specialization

Economy/Accounting or Information Technology

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and
German - Elementary (A2)

Personality requirements and skills

Education: University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Economy/Accounting or Information Technology

Experience:
- Several years of experience in project management or in the financial environment
- Project management certification (eg IPMA) – advantage
- Practical experience in the design and implementation of process improvements
- Technical know-how on accounting and/or finance issues and corresponding processes
- Ideally experience with shared services
- Experience as project leader or project manager; experience in international projects is beneficial
- Previous experience in consultancy and / or in the finance area of an industrial company is beneficial - an audit background is also appreciated
- Knowledge of current project management methodologies

PC skills:
- Experience with SAP /Modules SD/FI) – advantage
- MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
