Job description, responsibilities and duties
What will you do?
Development and operations of infrastructure components for network function
virtualization in DT’s data centers
Provide and manage the lifecycle of physical infrastructure and virtualized resources, hosted within the datacenters.
Cloud infrastructure design and operations support (2nd line) for data center focus areas: servers and network infrastructure, storage, cloud OS and SDN controller.
Cloud platform DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
DEV: Develop and maintain a code for configuration of SW and HW components which creates cloud infrastructure
OPS: Maintain existing infrastructure (Incident management) and address improvements to DEV
Your detailed responsibilities:
HW-related, validation of new equipment (hardware and software) to meet the predefined standards (SLA profiles)
Accountable for the set-up, management and support of the datacenter tools and virtualization functionality
Tool examples: Virtualized Infrastructure Manager (VIM, e.g. Openstack, VMware), monitoring tools
Perform integration and validation tasks for datacenter equipment and tools
Monitoring/tracking performance of systems, dimensioning, and capacity planning with respect to future needs
Responsible for preparation and administration of the techn. documentation

What professional skills will you bring along:
The candidate must have a University degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with a real more than 3 years’ hands-on experience in data center infrastructure and virtualization technologies with focus on one of the following knowledge areas: x86 hard-ware, networking hardware and SDN, Storage or Cloud OS.
Ideal candidate also must have the following knowledge:
SysAdmin - linux configuration and troubleshooting (ubuntu, centos) – advanced skillset required (3Ys 5Ys experience at least from daily operations)
KVM Virtualization (Ubuntu preferred)
Openstack administration (preferred Canonical distribution incl. Juju and MaaS – Mitaka or Ocata or Ussuri) – proven daily practice - 1Y
Git as code management (or similar tool set – preferred Gitlab)
GitOPS - automation (CI/CD) and IaC operations and troubleshooting, scripting – ability to use existing code for daily operations tasks and activities, ability to report issues, ideally propose solutions for DEV stage
basic understanding of datacenter networking - knowledge of DC protocols basis (VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN)
baremetal (x86 servers – Lenovo and HP portfolio preferred) operations and maintenance (leading of RMA, 2nd level support)
Different common infrastructure DevOps tools and utilities, scripting languages

Hard skills requirements:
Excellent understanding and practical experience in at least one of the following infrastructure domains:
IT hardware: x86 server architectures.
Virtualization - Hypervisors (KVM), SDN and network acceleration technologies, e.g. SR-IOV
Networking: Data center network equipment for spine, TOR and BOR switches from major vendors (Juniper, Cisco, Huawei) and SDN controllers (e.g. OpenCon-trail)
Storage: solutions for block and object storage including high-availability con-cepts, e.g. Ceph.
Cloud OS: opensource and commercial solutions, e.g. OpenStack or VMWare
Good general understanding of cloud platform architectures:
Compute, Network and Storage Infrastructure
Cloud OS, Linux/Unix Operating Systems and Hypervisors
IP Services
Public/Private Cloud Architectures
CEPH
CI/CD processes and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Git, Ansible etc.)
Knowledge of network hardware, TCP/IP, routing, switching, network security
Candidates with relevant certification preferred, e.g. CCNP/Data Center
