What will you do?

E2E Cloud product definition, delivery and operations responsibility – DevOps

People management and work organization in the area of application orchestration, Platform-as-a-Service (PAAS) components and application lifecycle management

Cloud platform SRE: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery management

Define and monitor product SLI/SLO

Perform People Performance Dialogue

Pool & develop skills of the team

Coach for employees

Resource ownership, 2nd line operations organization responsibility

Jointly with Head of Department creates strategic vision/ big picture view focusing on Company targets

Investigate and propose new cloud product development and improvement

In charge of managing 1 and more squads

 

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Number of years of experience

Personality requirements and skills


What professional skills will you bring along:

The candidate must have a University degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with a minimum five years’ real hands on experience in area of platforms design and testing, competence in NFVI, Openstack, KVM, orchestrators, Project management and experience in leading teams.

Management experience on the following infrastructure domains

IT hardware: x86 server architectures.

Networking: Data center network equipment and topologies

Storage: solutions for block and object storage including high-availability concepts, e.g. Ceph.

CloudOS: opensource and commercial solutions, e.g. OpenStack or VMWare

Good general understanding of cloud platform architectures:

Compute, Network and Storage Infrastructure

Cloud OS, Operation SW and Hypervisors

IP Services

Public/Private Cloud Architectures

Application orchestration

SDN, CEPH

CI/CD processes and tools (e.g. Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Git, Ansible etc.)

Knowledge of network hardware, TCP/IP, routing, switching, network security

Problem solving skills:

Candidates with relevant certification preferred, e.g. CCNP/Data Center
