Job description, responsibilities and duties
- This position is available for multiple locations: Bratislava, Budapest, Athens, Bucharest
Key Performance Indicators / Key responsibilities and deliverables:(e.g. budget, revenue, EBITDA, etc.):- As part of the Pan-European TV team, the E2E Architecture expert is responsible for designing Video solutions
- Understands business targets, provides technical option space for execution, able to engage in constructive, eye level discussion with senior business executives how to achive business targets most effective (leadtime, TCO)
- “Mastermind” for the implementation of relevant technical applications in the video ecosysteme. Optimizes architecture according to business priorities, harmonizes components accordingly (like decisions: buy/make, agile/waterfall, cloud/dedicated infra, on prem, SaaS)
- Owns the overall e2e overview of the video solution: Responsible for planning, dimensioning, implementation of video solutions and components
- Provide Architectural guidance, cooperate with senior experts and Solution Architects
- Provide technical and process related guidance to maintain and further improve our DEVOPS framework
- Detailed job description, responsibilities:Act as expert for Video/TV technology development related projects focusing on required macro components (like, Content Management Systems (CMS), media signal transcoding (Head-End) and encryption (DRM), streaming AV pipes including Content Delivery Networks (CDN) and core TV platforms) in cross-country video service developments and deployments,
- Provides technical solutions for the video platforms and subsystems
- Prepares High Level Solution Designs, feasibility studies, architecture concepts and technical Functional and Non-Functional Requirement Specification as well as acceptance test procedures
- Coordinates subject matter experts on Low Level Design and Deployment Procedure Description
- Coordination and vendor management of internal and external vendors within the projects
- Contributes to and/or lead project review activities (project plans, requirement, design and test case) to assume joint responsibility with other team members on quality and schedule
- Prepares and evaluates integration plans of new technology components
- Reviewes technical studies and design proposals for applications
- Creates API integration plans
- Guides VNF (application) integration with various infratructure environments (on prem, dedicated vs cloud: e.g. Openstack, public)

Education:
- Master’s in computer science, Information Technology/Systems or proven experience in related field (business, product development)
- Professional knowledge, skills, know-how in the field & experience in the field:5-10 years of experience in large scale international consumer service company (e.g. IT /technology consultancy, big tech giants (FAMGA), e-commerce, telco)
- Proven track record in TV / OTT video, video on demand, media delivery systems topics or any other broadcast, streaming or content management related technologies/projects
- Strong understanding of cloud solutions (public, private) and their benefits/limitations
- Proven track record in Enterprise Architect or Solution Architect (SA) role in large scale international Telco or IT service provider or Financial companies
- Proven track record in documentation, standardization and test protocol creation, process/workflow planning, service migration (at least in two), OSS/BSS integration
- Language skills:English language – fluent (excellent verbal and written communication skills)
- Interpersonal, communication skills:Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak and write at both senior and junior levels within the organization
- Strong analytical skills; the ability to see at both the helicopter view and focus on details, if required.
- Proven ability/experience working in a multi layered international matrix organization
- Experience in working with international teams (direct & indirect) from different cultural backgrounds and experience in managing external resources ensuring clarity, collaboration and efficiency

- Good understanding of DRM solutions and offerings (Google Widevine, MS PlayReady, Verimatrix, Adobe Primetime, Apple FairPlay) and/or other encryption solutions
- Good understanding of video packaging and OTT streaming (HLS, DASH, HDS, HSS) is a plus,
- Experienced in Openstack VNF integrations, OSS/BSS adaptations or service migrations
- Strong technical knowledge in IT security
- DEVOPS experience is considered as a strong plus.
