Purpose
Application Manager is responsible for the entire life cycle of the application- from the start of operation to the final switch-off: coordinates and steers development and operation, is responsible for compliance with the agreed Service Level Agreements and bears commercial responsibility for budget of the application.
The B2B Technical Orchestration Hub is currently responsible for the NetCracker Orchestrator and Juniper CSO applications. Juniper MIST will be added from 2023. These applications are purchased as a SaaS service from Netcracker and Juniper. The BTO hub is then responsible for implementation and configuration to meet the needs of Telekom and its customers. In addition, the two applications HashiCorp Vault and HashiCorp Terraform are in the area of responsibility.
In the coming years, expansion to other hardware suppliers such as Cisco is planned.
However, the BTO hub differs from other hubs in that, in contrast to the basic idea of end-to-end responsibility, the integration of the SaaS service into the established Telekom structures must be ensured. This is the only way for Telekom IT to live up to its responsibility towards customers.
