Job description, responsibilities and duties

- A CloudGen Firewall Network Engineer is an IT professional who bears tasks to maintain, establish and troubleshoot the issues within Firewall and Network infrastructure running on Cloud platforms. Engineers work proactively within a team on requests created in ticketing tool.

Accountabilities:
- Perform, coordinate and improve most complex activities needed to provide IT services
and the supporting infrastructure in order to fulfill relevant KPI’s.
- Propose and perform regular inspections and improvement recommendations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex tickets or escalate complex tickets with direct/potential impact related to IT infrastructure.
- Investigate the root cause of complex incidents and then initiate actions to improve or correct the situation.
- Evaluate, authorize, prioritize, plan, test, implement, document and review complex changes in controlled manner or escalate to higher authority.
- Assess actual performance of IT infrastructure against its predicted performance (any deviations between the two should be understood and proactively remediated, with vendors if necessary).
- Create and maintain technical documentation to support IT service.
- Identify weaknesses in used processes and eliminate them following industry and internal standards.
- Plan, implement and maintain a stable technical infrastructure to support organization’s business.
- Serve as technical lead to provide clear and comprehensive release and deployment plans.
- Deliver effective training plans and concepts to train other employees and ensure their fulfillment.

- performance analysis,
- problem management - solving problem tickets,
- customer audits, follow-ups,
- cluster administration and server hardening,
- create complex script,
- technical Lead / TPL,
- 3rd Level Support (Expert Competence Centre),
- execute projects (Steering Internal TSSK (GCU/GDU) Projects),
- creating and maintaining documentation,
- internal trainer for platform / technology,
- presenting on GDU/GCU conference,
- overall Windows Server OS knowledge on 3rd level,
- knowledge about AD, DNS, DHCP and networking – have a good understanding of these topics and be willing to improve,
- be able to automate / script tasks – preferred is PowerShell, but other scripting languages are welcomed as well
-be able to work alone and as a part of the team,
- be able to share knowledge with colleagues and conduct trainings if needed
- overvies of Windows server platforms, Server HW overview,
- virtualization platforms as VMware, Hyper-V.

Wage (gross)

1 150 - 1 500 EUR/monthMinimum base salary 1150 € + variable part + other financial benefits. The final basic wage component can be adjusted accordingly to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
