Job description, responsibilities and duties


Business Intelligence back-end developer’s main duty is daily support of BI data delivery in environment built on MS-BI stack technologies, mainly Integration Services (SSIS), as part of an international agile team delivering BI solutions to internal customers in area of finance, controlling and HR .

Key accountabilities
• Development of back-end capabilities in environment built on MS-BI stack technologies, mainly Integration Services (SSIS).
• Creating Data Warehouses, data marts, building ETL for data warehouses, SSIS packages.
• Working with MS SQL Server: creating databases, stored procedures, functions, triggers, troubleshooting, SQL Agent jobs, maintenance and security.
• Gather and process raw data from multiple disparate sources (including writing scripts, write SQL queries, utilizing SSIS, etc.) into a form suitable for analysis.
• Design, develop, test and document scripts to purge old data, convert data and manage security & user access.
• Cooperation with other units – technical bridge between Finance & Controlling and IT division.

Wage (gross)

1 800 - 2 100 EUR/monthMonthly salary range is 1800 € - 2100 € brutto + variable part of salary + other financial benefits. The final basic wage component can be adjusted accordingly to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or German - Elementary (A2)

The position is suitable for a fresh graduate


Personality requirements and skills

• University education in Information Technology / Economics (ideally with focus on subject matter)

• 2+ years of working experience of back-end development experience, all seniority levels are considered

• English B2+
• German A2+ is an advantage

• Understanding of ETL logic & data warehousing principles.
• Previous experience with ETL tools is an advantage.
• Ability to design tables, data-marts, and/or databases to suit reporting needs.
• SQL scripting on advanced level.
• Experience with dashboards, reports and KPIs
• Work experience in a Shared Service Centre is a benefit.
• High attitude towards quality and accurateness, strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in Agile / Scrum mode.
• Willingness to work in an international environment / cultural sensitivity.
• Customer orientation.
