THE ROLE (The job)
The role is responsible for the management of datacenter infrastructure for the entire organization during the whole Lifecycle Process.
You will work for the Squad “Cloud Engineering Operation” which is responsible for the operation of several Redhat OpenStack platforms in Germany. These OpenStack clouds can be divided into two different offers.
The “CoreCloud” consists of three production sites and is mainly used for the hosting of internal management applications.
The “EdgeCloud” consists of five production sites as external IaaS offer towards the public market. In addition, we have several test- and reference environments in place.
All Redhat OpenStack environments are running with “Cisco Virtualized Infrastructure Manager” (cVIM) software which is completely supported by Cisco.
You are responsible for the stable operation (Incident and Changemanagement) of the cloud environment using the processes established.
In the event of an incident, you act as 2nd Level incident manager and you have to analyze the root cause with the manufacturer and finally implement a solution.
Increasing operational efficiency by developing automation routines and implementing them by using CI/CD pipelines is essential for us.
You will be responsible for test and acceptance of new software releases and the successful implementation in all environments. You have to establish rollout plans, inform the customer, organise support and implement software an agreed maintenance window.
Support of internal customers in case of failures/questions should be a pleasure to you.
You will join a highly motivated team of specialists who are working in Germany.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred, but not mandatory)
- Proficiency in English (German welcome but not mandatory)
- 5+ years of industry experience
YOUR SKILLS (The tech stack)
You'll be a perfect fit if you have expertise in:
- Linux skills on expert level
- Experience in operating Redhat OpenStack Cloud environments
- Experience in Cisco Virtualized Infrastructure Manager (cVIM)
- Basic Skills in network technologies SDN/ACI
- Python, CICD, Grafana
- Agile working in DevOps team with Kanban
- Basic skills in ITIL framework
