Job description, responsibilities and duties

The purpose of the role is to ensure the delivery of high quality and cost efficient service to the customer at all times. First point of contact for any operational issues or queries for MP&L also representing the DHL team at start of / end of shift meetings with the customer. The role will be responsible to co-ordinate any late deliveries into the Nitra plant which might impact production.

Main responsibilities:
• Daily meetings with all relevant stakeholders (DHL, Client, Service providers, etc.) to understand stock out times and to identify and mitigate any potential inbound delivery issues that could negatively impact customer production plans,
• Daily communication to all relevant stakeholders both internal and external regarding pull forward deliveries, special requests, etc.
• Deal with any freight issues i.e. late arrivals, special requests, request to pull forward deliveries in a timely and professional manner,
• Exception management - Investigate late deliveries that could negatively impact customer production plans to understand root cause and propose improvement plans to avoid same,
• Management and coordination of the execution function (tracking, expediting and marshaling) of inbound freight to ensure the timely delivery of all inbound freight and to ensure the escalation of all late deliveries as per agreed process and SLA,
• To ensure all required data across all responsible activity is recorded and captured accurately and timeously for reporting purposes / KPI management,
• Relationship building with internal and external customers,
• Team coordination and management.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards

from 1220 EUR gross/month base salary (based on experience; plus other financial and non-financial benefits)

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• 3-5 years’ Logistics experience – essential,
• Educated to diploma level – advantage,
• Fluent in English and Slovak,
• Ability to travel to the UK and within Europe if required,
• Flexibility to work on EU Bank Holidays if required,
• Ability to work in a demanding environment,
• Flexibility to work alternative shift patterns,
• Very good communication skills,
• Computer literacy – MS Office,
• People management experience,
• Customer first behavior,
• The role is customer facing and therefore the individual will be the face of DHL thus the individual will always have to present himself/herself in a professional manner
