Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for Financial controller for division Global Forwarding in Bratislava.
Main responsibilities:
• You work for a dynamic and ambitious organization and are the key financial business partner and advisor to the CFO and Management team (SMT)
• provides financial transparency on the Gross Margin, key cost levers and supports/drives cost optimization and GP improvement by preparing compelling, relevant fact based analysis (eg regular reporting and analysis of customer, tradelane, file profitability and other KPI’s)
• Oversees that the monthly and yearly financial closing processes are done on a timely and accurate manner and prepares the related reporting accordingly
• Implement procedures, internal processes and decision-making tools
• Build-up and follow-up on budgets, forecast and business plans
• Challenge Operations/branches on budgets and business targets
• Implement and support Global initiatives in an context of continuous improvement
• Identify financial risks, propose and implement solutions to mitigate these risks
• Explain and comment results deviations per products/branches and make aware of any drift in comparison with year to date and previous year
• Perform the monthly reconciliation (Steering Logic)
• Support on internal and external audit requests
• Minimum of Bachelor of Business Administration/ Finance and/ or Logistics
• Ability to analyze and comment financial data
• Ability to create and manage financial tools
• Good command of English (for daily verbal and non-verbal communication)
• Strong analytical skills and detailed orientated
• Proficient in the use of MS office (Excel and PowerPoint)
• IFRS knowledge desirable, but not essential
• Stress resistant
• Hands on and proactive mentality
• Team spirit and challenging but accommodating
• Ability to learn

• Educated to university degree level,
• Minimum 2 year experience in similar role,
• Fluent Slovak speaker, able to communicate in English,
• Advanced Excel user,
• General knowledge of corporate finance (accounting principles, taxes),
